The Regional Rescue Center in Witnica developed by Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex won the Mister Lubuskie award for a public building. The jury appreciated its nontraditional postmodern architecture, the building’s integration into the urban landscape and its functionality as all services such as the police, fireguard and ambulance service are located in one place. This year’s Construction Gala when the Mister Lubuskie awards for new or modernized constructions were presented took place on September 21st in Zielona Góra, a city in northern Poland. The Lubuskie Construction Contest for the best building in the region was established by the regional Employers Organization in Zielona Góra in 1994. Since 2002 the main organizer of this contest have been the regional chamber of construction. The marshal of the Lubuskie voivodeship have taken patronage over the contest and he also provides awards and funds for the winners.
