Eiffage Polska Budownictwo will modernise Municipal Stadium in Krakow

On 8 December this year, we signed a contract with the Municipality of Krakow for the modernisation of the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium. The subject of modernisation will be four stands, the media pavilion and the pitch. The total cost of the works will amount to PLN 98 858 555 gross.

The scope of the planned work includes, among other things:

modernization of aluminum iron
work at the first floor level
execution of a new structural facade with enclosures
replacement of the aluminum facade in the media building
replacement of air handling units on the facades
modernization of fire protection systems
supervision of other necessary construction, execution and workshop works

We are beginning contract preparation work. We will be preparing the technical facilities, and in parallel there will be work on ordering materials (…). We are starting a very difficult chapter, but we are prepared for it. We are a large concern, the fifth construction company in Europe. We have also been operating in the Krakow area for years. Over the years we have built 700 buildings, said Marek Kowalik,  Eiffage Southern Region Director, during  the press conference.

We intend to complete the project by the end of May 2023. Ultimately, the stadium on Wladyslaw Reymonta Street is expected to be ready for the 2023 European Games hosted by Krakow.

Eiffage is a general contractor for numerous warehouse, retail, sports and hotel facilities. The best-known facilities we have built are the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille and the Sydney House Opera House in Sydney. In Poland, we have completed, among others, a logistics hall for Volkswagen in Antoninek near Poznań, Belmonte hotels in Krynica-Zdrój and Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences in Zakopane, as well as the Posnania shopping mall in Poznań.
