Eiffage Polska Budownictwo to construct the next stage of Nowa 5 Dzielnica in Cracow

Eiffage Polska Budownictwo has signed with Centrum Nowoczesnych Technologii S.A. a contract to construct another building (A1) in the newly-developed Nowa 5 Dzielnica housing estate.
Building A1 has been divided into two units: A1a and A1b, connected through underground car parks. The building will have two different heights of 7 and 8 storeys above ground and 2 storeys of underground car park.
The main advantage of the project is its prime location. The building will be constructed using traditional technology. The underground structures consist of reinforced concrete column and slab systems, while the above-ground structure is formed by systems of reinforced concrete slabs and load-bearing masonry walls from silicate blocks, with single reinforced concrete columns and walls. The facade is characterised by varied planes, whose rhythm is determined by cut balconies in the corners, as well as horizontal and vertical divisions, giving it a dynamic and modern character. On the terraces and balconies, safety glass balustrades are provided.
During the construction of Nowa 5 Dzielnica, it has been planned to preserve the trees growing in close proximity to the project, including birches, a hornbeam and a magnificent pedunculate oak. The pro-ecological approach adopted by the investor is also reflected in the choice of roofing. The buildings of Nowa 5 Dzielnica will have flat, green roofs with a top vegetation layer (extensive greenery requiring minimal care).
