On 31st December 2009 Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex signed the contract for the completion of “The Kashubian Filharmony – Regional Cultural Centre” in Wejherowo. New Cultural Centre will be constructed by Sobieski and Dworcowa Streets, directly on the premises of the former building of Wejherowskie Cultural Centre. Multifunctional development will consist of two basic modules comprising altogether 6 500 sq.m. (total space) and 53 000 cubic meters (cubature). First module will include modern hall for c.a. 400 people. It will fulfill a few functions: concert, cinema, auditorium and theatrical. The second module will consist of the Cultural Centre with workrooms, conference hall for 100 people, gallery and technical facilities. The building will have 4 ground: 3 functional plus 1 additional for technical facilities and 1 underground floor.
The value of the contract amounts c.a. PLN 48 m gross. The construction works are planned to June 2012. Wejherowo City Community is the investor. The project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund and the National Budget.
