The building of the IT Department of the University of Wrocław has been distinguished at the 2007 Piękny Wrocław Competition for the Best Architectural Accomplishment.
The results of the prestigious competition honoring the architectural design and functionality of new buildings in Wrocław were announced on June 21st, 2007 at the Wrocław Museum of Architecture. The organizers – City Mayor and the Association for the Enthusiasts of the City of Wrocław – awarded contestants in four categories, distinguishing the only public building belonging to Wrocław University IT Department, which was constructed by Mitex SA. The citizens of Wrocław themselves entered the facility into the competition. The building located on Joliot-Curie St. has been designed by Juliusz Modlinger and Marek Wołyniec. The objective of the annual event is to promote the Wrocław architecture and to honor the most valuable architectural accomplishments.
