Eiffage Polska Budownictwo S.A. joins the prestigious group of signatories of  the Agreement for Construction Safety.

Eiffage Polska Budownictwo S.A. joins the prestigious group of signatories of  the Agreement for Construction Safety. The company, specializing in the largest cubature investments in Poland, has actively worked for years to eliminate accidents at all its construction sites.

 

Safety of employees and subcontractors is one of the strategic objectives of the Eiffage Group in Poland and worldwide. The company runs a number of innovative projects aimed at education and effective protection of construction teams.

To develop and support the idea of ​​full elimination of accident risk on November 29,2019 Eiffage joins the Agreement for Construction Safety.

Mission: zero accidents

The Agreement for Construction Safety is an initiative of general contractors aimed at improving safety and zero out the risk of accidents on Polish construction sites. Companies associated in agreement promote the culture of safety, by making aware of the risks on the construction sites, and consequently contribute to the elimination of the risk.

 

  • We are glad that Eiffage Polska Budownictwo S.A., one of the leaders of Polish construction market joins our initiative. The fact that we are growing and will now have 13 signatories and 3 associated members proves that we are heading a proper direction of changes in Polish construction sector. Only a broad representation of the sector, with the direct involvement of CEOs, can actively improve safety – says Michał Wasilewski, Coordinator of the Agreement for Safety in Construction.

Key importance

Joining this prestigious initiative is a natural step and the result of the Eiffage strategy in Poland. The company successfully implements a number of projects and applies procedures to increase safety on all its construction sites. This procedures include quarterly HSE committees, HSE reviews and reports during every stage of construction works and  detailed safety audits carried out by the management staff.

The company has also implemented the innovative Final Safe application for smartphones and tablets, which allows to check the performance of all safety procedures and to notify rapidly on all incorrect or risky situations at the construction site.

 

  • Since 2017 we have been conducting an internal competition for employees “Safe construction site of the quarter”. Every three months we reward outstanding employees – says Adam Sękowski, HSE Director at Eiffage Polska Budownictwo S.A. – We also conduct a wide campaign “Security is our history” in all branches and offices as well as at the construction sites. Only in 2019 we have conducted two editions of the cyclical Safety Week when we actively worked to raise safety awareness among all our employees – he adds.

For years Eiffage, as a company that implements the most advanced cubature investments in Poland, has been setting trends for the entire sector, including those related to safety. Joining the Agreement for Safety in Construction is the next step of the company’s policy where the safety is fundamental in all activities in Poland and worldwide.
