Since last August, Eiffage Immobilier Polska has been developing its new residential scheme \u2013 \u201cDom przy \u0179r\u00f3dle\u201d \u2013 in the Cracow district of Stare Podg\u00f3rze. Now, to promote young designers and foster their creativity, the company is inviting all students to take part in a competition for the design of a spring well. The first prize: 5,000 PLN.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since last August, Eiffage Immobilier Polska has been developing its new residential scheme \u2013 \u201cDom przy \u0179r\u00f3dle\u201d \u2013 in the Cracow district of Stare Podg\u00f3rze. Now, to promote young designers and foster their creativity, the company is inviting all students to take part in a competition for the design of a spring well. The first prize: 5,000 PLN.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u201cDesign a Spring Well for Podg\u00f3rze\u201d competition is targeted at arts, design, architecture and engineering students. Apart from the financial awards, the competition offers prestige to the winners to pave the way to their future successes. The winning graphic project of a stand-alone sculpture or structure may be used for the decoration of the inner patio in \u201cDom przy \u0179r\u00f3dle\u201d. As specified in the terms and conditions, competition entries may be submitted by individuals or by groups. The entries will be registered electronically. The entry form will be made available on the competition website on 1 March, the deadline for submissions is 14 April 2019. The winners will be announced at the end of April.<\/p>\n

\u201cDom przy \u0179r\u00f3dle\u201d is located in one of Cracow\u2019s most up-and-coming districts \u2013 Stare Podg\u00f3rze. The project, whose main contractor is Eiffage Polska Budownictwo, with Eiffage Immobilier Polska as the investor, is being developed at the corner of streets: Podskale and Kalwaryjska, near Rondo Matecznego, a roundabout. Stare Podg\u00f3rze aspires to repeat the success of the other two very popular districts of the city, Kazimierz and Zab\u0142ocie. Thanks to its rich gastronomic, recreational and educational infrastructure, it is ideal for people who enjoy active recreation and the attractions of city life. Podg\u00f3rze boasts many restaurants, fitness clubs, a shopping mall with a cinema, while the Vistula Boulevards and the surrounding parks and squares invite for walks. Families with children can also feel at home here, due to the proximity of schools and nurseries, health centres and pharmacies.<\/p>\n

Apart from Rondo Matecznego \u2013 one of the district\u2019s main junctions, the location has other advantages. The project is not more than a 12-minute walk away from two large parks \u2013 Bednarski Park and Florian Nowacki Planty, as well as the banks of the Vistula River. Another one is hidden in the project\u2019s name \u2013 \u201cDom przy \u0179r\u00f3dle\u201d, which literally translates as \u201cThe House at the Spring\u201d, refers to the nearby balneotherapy centre \u201cMateczny Zdr\u00f3j\u201d. The early-20th century spa building houses a spring of mineral waters discovered by Antoni Mateczny, whose name was given to the nearby roundabout. Surrounded by a beautiful old park, the resort remains an undiscovered pearl of Podg\u00f3rze.<\/p>\n

\u201cDom przy \u0179r\u00f3dle\u201d is the second investment project of Eiffage Immobilier Polska. The first project developed by the company is the small apartment building \u201cVilla Sadyba\u201d in Sadyba, Warsaw. In both cases, the general contractor is Eiffage Polska Budownictwo, a sister company from Eiffage Group in Poland.<\/p>\n
