Echo Investment has chosen Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex SA as the general contractor of Galeria Echo shopping and entertainment center in Kielce. The scope of Contract comprises execution of all works involved in extension of Galeria Echo mall. The contractor will receive the construction plans on October 12, 2009. According to Contract provisions, the contractor shall complete execution not later than May 9, 2011. The value of signed contract is 161.3 million PLN net.
\nHere is what Mr. Artur Langner, Member of the Management Board of Echo Investment, said after signing the contract: ‘Galeria Echo is our largest project and the contract for its execution is the largest contractor agreement in our corporate history. I am glad that the investment will be performed by our long experienced partner, who also qualifies among the best construction companies on the Polish market. Our contract with Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex is the closing point of preparation to execution of key stage of the Mall’s extension. We would also like to emphasize that we completed the negotiation process with the contractor simultaneously with obtaining project financing. It is a confirmation of our investment being very well prepared and an indicator of improvement on the real estate market.’<\/i>
\nGALERIA ECHO in Kielce occupies at present the area of approximately 68 000 sq.m., 26\u00a0000 sq. m. out of which constitute a leasable area. The development project assumes construction of 4\u00a0commercial storeys and a multi-level car park. The total area of Echo Gallery, after its extension, shall equal approximately 166\u00a0000 sq.m., in which the leasable area shall take up 67\u00a0000 sq. m..
