Construction is still often perceived as a physically demanding, highly technical industry reserved mainly for men, and for young women \u2013 unattractive and difficult. We must break these stereotypes. We must show that construction is a space where innovation, creativity, and technical knowledge matter far more than physical strength. The industry is changing, and one of the most positive shifts is the growing role of women \u2013 in a wide range of positions, from design and engineering to management. This is not just a trend, but a lasting transformation. On International Women\u2019s Day, it is important to say loudly \u2013 women are building and increasingly stepping into the world of construction, breaking down stereotypes. And it\u2019s not about \u201cbuilding relationships.\u201d Just a dozen or so years ago, women in construction-related degree programs were in the minority. Today, the proportion of women at technical universities is rising, and female graduates of construction programs now represent a significant part of the engineering workforce. In the last academic year, out of more than 40,000 graduates in the fields of technology, industry, and construction, as many as 15,000 were women. This is a significant step forward.<\/p>\n
\nAt Eiffage, we observe this change up close. We regularly visit construction faculties at job fairs, support technical education, and collaborate with leading technical universities, while also supporting young women through our \u201cR\u00f3wno\u015b\u0107 murowana\u201d (Equality Set in Stone)<\/strong> campaign. These are not empty slogans for us \u2013 women make up 50% of the management boards of both our companies \u2013 Eiffage Immobilier Polska and Eiffage Polska Budownictwo. What\u2019s more, nearly half of all Eiffage employees in Poland are women (46%), and in our core construction business focused on general contracting, already one in three employees is female. Women are tangibly building the future of the industry today. Encouraging them to explore career paths in construction is an investment in the dynamic development of the entire sector, says Monika Balewska, HR Director at Eiffage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
