Eiffage Polska Budownictwo will build Angel Care in Wrocław

07.11.2014

Eiffage Polska Budownictwo signed a contract for the development of Angel Care Senior Center in Wrocław on November 7th, 2014.
Eiffage will be responsible for the reconstruction of a former hospital to an elderly care home. The center in Wrocław will be the first and pioneer development of this kind as the investor plans to build a large Angel Care chain in Poland. This facility will have a broader offer than a typical retirement home. It will combine elderly care with a well-equiped research center. The Angel Care unit in Wrocław will be located in the former Medical University Hospital by Dyrekcyjna street. Its older Neo-Gothic wing was established in 1898 and the other parts of the hospital were developed in the 1920’s. Hence the whole hospital is on the list of protected buildings. That is why the whole renovation and reconstruction process must be done accoording to very strict procedures to maintain its original construction and historical values. The old hospital will be divided into three independent parts : special apartments for elderly people, a social welfare home and a dementia research center.
All these facilities will operate on one campus, however all institutions will be independent and have separate entrances to maintain patients’ privacy and comfort. The development of Angel Care has already been launched. Construction work is to end in the first quarter of 2016.
