Benoît de Ruffray becomes the new President of the Management Board of Eiffage Group

The Supervisory Board of Eiffage Group, one of the largest construction groups and concessions operators in Europe, has decided to merger two positions: Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer. Benoît de Ruffray has been appointed to this role unanimously.
Benoît de Ruffray is a graduate of the prestigious French engineering schools École polytechnique and École nationale des ponts et chaussées as well as Imperial College in London. He has 25 years of experience in working in international construction companies. Mr Ruffray will be responsible in Eiffage Group for the strategic development of the company.
Eiffage Group developed many ambitious and spectacular projects recognised all over the world. The company implements the newest environmentally-friendly technologies and solutions. The most interesting Group’s investments include the Millau viaduct above the valley of the River Tarn in southern France that is the highest such structure in the world. The viaduct designed by Michel Virlogeux and British architect Norman Foster is 2460 m long and 343 m high. An impressive example of the modern architecture is the new Michelin Technology Center (RDI Center) in Ladoux – a vast complex, meeting the newest environmental protection requirements that combined the existing and dispersed buildings in the new structure. The other unique Group’s realisation is Smartseille – a development project with the area of 58.000 m2, realised in Marseille from spring 2015. This is a model and ecological complex of apartments and offices with access to modern technologies at reasonable prices, functioning in conformance with the sustainable urban development requirements.
In Poland Eiffage Group is represented by Eiffage Polska Budownictwo (EPB) that is the general contractor of building services and employs 300 people at present. The company specialises in the complex construction of high volume objects: office, commercial, hotel, residential, industrial and sports buildings. During 20 years of operation in Poland EPB developed over 550 investments. The most important company’s projects, developed over recent years, include : apartment building Angel Wawel in Kraków, Shopping Centers POSNANIA in Poznań and Fabryka Wołomin as well as housing estates: “Zajezdnia” and “Botanika” in Poznań, “Przy Bażantarni” in Warsaw, five-star hotels in Wrocław and Zakopane.
